Do you think your child, or you yourself, may be dyslexic? The Tomatis method works well alongside the traditional approaches of speech therapy and occupational therapy.

You can have an assessment with a specialist health professional. However, you may well face extremely long waiting times, which is probably why you have found your way to us.

More and more children have language disorders, and dyslexia in particular. Professionals whose services are covered by the canton of Geneva, such as speech and language therapists, are few and in high demand.

Screening, and training too

We offer screening for language disorders and dyslexia. A listening assessment combined with a questionnaire allows us to assess whether you or your child have an auditory processing disorder, a sensory integration disorder, or poorly integrated body awareness, which are often linked to “dys” disorders (dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, etc.).

We will then offer you personalised training to improve auditory processing and sensory and body integration. The Tomatis method combined with training on the Giger MD device has a positive and lasting effect on:

Language: understanding, communication, reading, writing, grammar, spelling and vocabulary.

Sensory integration and body awareness: better posture and coordination.

Learning and concentration: quality and duration, interest, attention and relevance.

Behaviour: emotional regulation, social skills, assurance, assertiveness and self-confidence.

Waiting times and availability

The wait for screening is just a few days. The full training runs over 4 to 5 months, combining listening at home with neurosensory training at the centre once or twice a week.

If needed, we can write a report for a school or a doctor. The report costs CHF 40.
