The impact of Tomatis on children: what parents tell us

The positive impact of the Tomatis method on children has been shown in many areas, as reported by parents who have brought their children to our centre.

One of the improvements reported most often concerns the quality of the child's voice, whether speaking or singing. Many parents have noticed an improvement in their child's ability to concentrate, as well as stronger understanding and communication skills.

Reading, both aloud and on paper, has also improved with the Tomatis method. Parents have also reported that their children showed better coordination, speed, punctuality and ability to keep to a rhythm.

Many parents have also noticed that their children have become more independent and behave more positively, for example by being calmer and more open.

Here are a few testimonials from parents who brought their children to our centre:

“My son struggled with reading and understanding, but after just a few sessions at the Tomatis centre he was able to read much more easily and with much better understanding. I am so grateful for the help Tomatis gave him.”

“My child has always been very shy and found it hard to communicate with others. After several sessions at the Tomatis centre, she is much more outgoing and able to express herself more easily.”

Children and Tomatis

This is what parents tell us after one or more listening sessions at the centre. The improvements they notice are in:

  • voice quality (speaking and singing)
  • concentration
  • understanding
  • communication skills
  • reading
  • spoken and written expression
  • coordination and dexterity
  • speed
  • punctuality
  • keeping to a rhythm
  • independence
  • general behaviour (calm, open, etc.)

It is important to note that results can vary from one child to another, and that progress may be seen after one or more listening sessions at the Tomatis centre.
